ABOUT US

In 1963, three Fort Worth Police officers—Sgt. Ruel C. Smith, Tommy Sanders, and Capt. Lawrence Woods—founded Fort Worth Motor Escort Service as a way to invest in the community of Tarrant County in their off-duty hours. As secretary and later owner of the company, Sgt. Smith's wife, Mrs. Phyllis Smith, oversaw each step of the growth of FWMES for 48 years. Today, her daughter, Jill Smith-Neece, carries on this family company's commitment to dependable, courteous, and compassionate service.

Motorcycle escort professionals with the company today are licensed and specially trained for motorcycle escorts. This vital work helps ensure the safety and cohesion of funeral processions, allowing friends and family members the security of arriving at graveside services together, on time, and free from traffic jams, accidents, and missed turns. With 60 years of experience as a company, we are committed to creating longstanding relationships with reliable, experienced riders who execute their responsibilities with skill and excellence. This commitment has earned FWMES a reputation as one of the most dependable companies in our field.
